So, maybe my mistake was ordering online to pick up, but hey, what is the point of such service if you aren't going to bother following the order? My veggie burrito belly was missing black beans (sort of essential when you're not having meat), the peppers and onions were raw ( I was making the assumption that they would be grilled fajita style), and they failed to put sour cream on it as well. Somehow I ended up with random pieces of corn in it too, which, sort of bothered me. Unfortunately they food is not seasoned as well as Chipotle, and next time I'll make the drive into Smithfield to get a burrito bowl that will be built completely

I wasn't impressed with the food. It's a complete copy-cat of Chipotle, but with less flavor in my opinion. I also thought the food wasn't completely fresh; I was the first one to arrive when it opened today, and all the ingredients were lukewarm (sour cream and lettuce shouldn't taste like they've been left out of the fridge all day at only 11 AM). The people working there were wonderful, but if you go in expecting it to measure up to Chipotle, you're sadly mistaken.

Edible, not the greatest. Portions are large, food mediocre. Tastes like what it is, chain restaurant food. The chips were decent. I'd say if you are starving it's okay, otherwise venture a bit out of your way and go to One More Taco.

I wasn't crazy about what I got. I guess I should have known buffalo chicken should not be made into a quesadilla and definitely not with rice, lettuce and corn. Meh. It seemed a little dirty in here too. Chipotle is definitely cleaner and the ingredients taste more fresh at chipotle too. I wouldn't care to go here again.

Hit or miss with this location. I order the same thing burrito and queso with chips. The chips last week were greasy and stale. Def not fresh, the queso was cold and clumpy. The chicken in the burrito was fatty and nasty. I hate ordering to go and getting home and being served crap. It's really disappointing.

After working at Chipotle for two years, I really understand this type of restaurant. I was really excited to dig some Tex-Mex/Mexican style food to remind me of home. In the end this wound up reminding me more of a low-quality Chipotle. Generally, it's all the same stuff. The rice and beans were really good along with the steak which was nice and juicy. The portions were very large and very generous which lent well to a big, hungry stomach. They had a TV on playing the Louisville v. Rutgers game which was nice. The queso was not on the mark. It was very grainy like the cheese had been pre-shredded and then did not melt all the way and seemed to be scrapping the bottom of the container. It did not have very good flavor. The decor and the overall feel of the place was very dark and dank. Felt dungeon-y. To go along with it, the employees were really not in a conversational mood and felt very frustrated. The guy who served us, however, was a nice guy. Overall, the food was good enough to eat, but I wouldn't really go out of my way to get it. It's really too bad there's not a closer Chipotle.

This is a staple for me. I don't go to Chipotle or any other similar joint. This one has bigger portions, more choices, and overall tastier food. The guac and adobo steak are my favorite. The staff can be really great or sometimes a bit impersonal if they're in a rush. They do always seem to care about doing a good job, though. I love that new options are continuously being added to the menu and that Tuesdays are bogo nights for students, which is an amazing deal!

Decent food, very inexpensive. Not the most intelligent staff but oh well they're juyst making burritos not curing cancer. Other reviewers said it was dirty. I haven't experienced this yet but I mostly stop by during the week so maybe it's not so busy and easier to keep up with. I have never had a bad experience.

What a wonderful totally fresh fast food restaurant! the sauces are awesome. If its simply a great meal you want ,this place fills the bill. (if however you want a bar and apps,etc,find somewhere else). Unfortunately ,it's now on my crave list,so see you soon!!!!!

A ton of food! My hubby loves this place. I think it is good, but not amazing. I like that you get to chose all of the different things that you can have in your tacos. The burritos are gigantic, so I stick to 2 tacos. I don't like that you have to pay extra for guacamole, but it is pretty good. I usually get the chips (which have a slight lime flavor) and guac and then just put a little on my tacos when I get home. We get the spicy chicken and the steak and they are pretty good. The kids can usually share a quesadilla since they are so huge. I ask for the fillings on the side and get rice and black beans and the baby can eat those.

Cilantro's is one of the few places where I actually prefer getting take-out or delivery. Visiting this location itself doesn't quite do it for me. I've ordered delivery a handful of times, they have online and fax ordering that help make the process super easy. The delivery is always on time and the driver always pleasant. I've been inside for a quick dinner once to use a group-on deal. The place was very dirty, all the tables and floors had crumbs and just did not feel clean. It was disappointing and lowered my opinion of the place a bit. I opted for a steak burrito and they filled a tiny little sauce cup with steak, my burrito probably had four or five small pieces of steak in the entire thing. Opt for the extra meat, the 2 bucks is worth it. On the bright side, the workers were very nice and personable. One of the girls heard me say I would rather take the food home because the tables were dirty. She apologized and wiped down one of the tables for me. She also was very helpful with the group-on and helped me get the most food for the coupon amount. I'm a big fan of the burrito craze but I've had better. I'll keep ordering from this location because it is close enough to deliver to my work but if I'm already out and about I'll probably go elsewhere.

Meh. Cilantro's new claim to fame is fresh local produce...but who gives a crap if it's local if it just doesn't taste good? I often stop by on Sundays just because they have 2-for-1 deals on tacos and burritos for RIC students. The portions are great for your money, but I'd rather pay more elsewhere in order to get some legit Mexican comida. Tonight I grabbed some 2-for-1 tacos with the boyfriend, and was yet again quite disappointed by the quality of the food. When I got home and opened the tin foil package, my once-crunchy tacos were now a soggy mess. Mind you, Mineral Spring is only about 6 minutes from my house. It's pretty clear that their meat is both watery and greasy. No matter what I've ordered, I've had the same problem. Tonight I tried the new "spicy Mexican steak" and was far from impressed. It was hardly spicy, and I hit chewy fat in almost every bite. No bueno. The veggies look decent when you see them on the assembly line, but as soon as they're in your taco they're so covered in grease and water from the meat that the freshness doesn't even matter. The tacos are constantly a hot mess, but the burritos are pretty decent and don't get quite as soggy for whatever reason. They're also massive, and are definitely worth the price especially if you're there on a college night (I believe each school in PVD gets their own day). If you want assembly line subway-style tacos and burritos, I recommend Cac-Tuz instead. They're not my favorite spot for Mexican food, but if you're into customizing then they're a good option. You'll be paying about the same price for slightly better food.

It's a great 'build your own burrito' place. The ingredients are always fresh and there never seems to be much of a line. I've been a few times and the employees are friendly. I like to try new concoctions.. which I feel is encouraged in a 'build your own' environment. The possibilities are endless. The portions are HUGE also. For less than $10 you get three meals worth of food.

I have been a customer of Cilantro for many years. Put up with filthy bathrooms, dirty tables and floors and ever diminishing portions of meat. Tonight's experience tops anything I have EVER experienced even in a low end place like this. When I asked the server to pay attention and stop putting things I did not ask for , she exploded with an attitude accusing me of verbal abuses and physical treats during my previous visit . Total nonsense ...I does not end there ... they actually called the police while I was eating and completely distorted what actually took place, therefore, actually filed a fraudulent police report. Well, in THIS country it is illegal to do so. When I'm in the mood for mexican food I don't necessarily want Latino attitude from underpaid, ignorant and angry workers.

$7 bucks for a burrito with half cooked rice, and relatively flavorless meats (the pork, & chicken anyway). Sure, the burritos were as big as a baby's head, but unless your only goal is to stuff your belly with barely mediocre eats, you might do better elsewhere.

I am usually not one to complain but I am very upset at the service I received here. I called a location that I frequent at least once a week to get a burrito for my pregnant wife or lunch for myself, I was informed that the store was open until 11pm so I left my house and when I arrived I saw that the store was closed. I called the store again to see if I was misinformed, I was treated rudely and hung up on. I emailed the manager of the restaurant and received a very generic apology and an offer for a coupon. Since then I never heard back and still no coupons after 3 attempts to reach the manager. I have been to the restaurant one more time since then to give it another shot and saw the same lack of professionalism and attitude. These past experiences have been enough to discourage me from returning. Good thing there is now a Chipotle in the Smithfield Crossings.

Eh. It's just "fine". It is like Chipotle. A pregnant stuffed burrito. It didn't wow me, but wasn't bad. For $7 you get a huge, mediocre burrito. If this is what you are in the mood for, then great. I ordered the vegetarian, which didn't have anything special (like vegetables) but included the guac at least. However, the guac wasn't the best I'd ever had. But, again, for $7 you get what you pay for.

Happy to be able to get a California burrito in New England. Usually get it to go and feast at home. Have had the chicken, fish and also just vegetarian. All great. A few years back they seemed to be skimping a little and it seemed smaller, but now they are just as big as they always were.

Cilantro is good for what it does well - custom burritos. Tacos are just okay. Its one of the few places you can get black beans and so many great fresh ingredients. I love the authentic Mexican taco shops but you can't customize with many of the unique items Cilantro carries. Why go? If you want an inexpensive, healthy alternative, and you live or work near one of the restaurants, i'd check them out. Cafeteria style.

I can't believe that there isn't more love for cilantro. get a big pile of all your fav burrito fillings, everything is fresh and tasty. Guacamole is extra but worth it. the place is a little dated but i disagree with the review who said it was drirty.

The food is fresh and it's prepared right in front of you and they do not charge for extra ingredients except for guac. They're clean, the staff is friendly and personable. The prices are decent, I pay more for the steak burrito or steak burrito belly but the steak is the best but I know ppl that love the pulled pork and curry chicken. It is great simple Mexican food and the portions are out of this world- I only finish half and eat the rest later. Chips and salsa are really good to. If you want simple Mexican food that is fast and made if front of you than this is the place for you. If you want authentic sit down Mexican then go to Cancun's Family Restaurant in Johnston, RI near Smithfield crossing.

GREAT fresh local food. I love their Buritto belly, my work colleagues are addicted to thir buritto's. Great service too. There should be more places like this.Prices are good too. Update 11/12/2012. Somethings happened with the meat at Cilantro - 1.Portion sizes for the meat are a lot smaller in the burrito belly thus diluting the taste. 2.Meat is more shredded and less juicy The overall effect is to make the belly less desirable. Now its just OK - it WAS outstanding! Have talked to a few folks who also noticed the above. Used to go out of my way to go here, now I'll stop in if Im passing. Has done better in the past. Go down by 1 star as a result of this.

Still yet to find a better place to get a burrito! Their ingredients are always fresh, not to mention the burritos are the size of a small child. Always good when you have a hungry headache! Get the Cilantro Card so you can get a free burrito from your frequent visits! Plus on Sundays it is buy-one-get-one-free for people with student IDs.

Love the Burritos, they have a burrito club to. After 10 burritos you get one free not bad! I call it Subway for burritos for those who have not gone. I like it better than Baja Fresh and Qdoba. But got nothing on Chipotle. Files the void for me when I don't want to drive to Chipotle.

I love this place. Good prices for the amount of food you get and everything tastes fresh and yummy. I only get the vegetarian options so I cant comment on the meat. It seems like a pretty healthy fast food alternative since they offer brown rice and whole wheat tortillas. Service is always good when I've gone here.

I don't know if I am a fan of this place. I went to the one on weybosset and was sorely dissapointed. I had a chicken burrito with all the fixings. Everything was a-ok except for the chicken. Every bite of chicken I got was fat. I was so skeeved out that I didn't even finish it. When it comes to chicken I am mega picky. Also my buritto kept falling apart and I made a mess on my door room appointed desk. I went to this on in NP because I saw and was starving. The place is kinda dirty and gives me the creeps, but I looked past that. This time I had a veggie burritto. This was much better, and it did not fall apart. I haven't been back since. Oh, and I wasn't offered chips or anything... I don't know if they are included or what but I didn't even see them! I would rather drive to Chipotle in Warwick.

I'm giving this location 2 stars for the service, which stinks. I, too was ignored when my husband and I were the only customers in there. The 2 teen guys behind the counter just kind of slopped the burrito filling into the tortilla, and grunted at us. Also, their chicken is mostly fatty dark meat gross bits. The amount of food you get for your dollar is pretty good, which is relevant if the food is edible, and most of the time it is. Stick with the downtown location.

Great food at a an even better price. Cafeteria style just tell em what you want and they will put it on your burrito/quesadilla. Line can get pretty long but worth the wait. Clean kitchen and friendly staff makes me want to eat every meal I can there. College deals and burrito club cards make it easy to justify spending a few bucks. Just thinking about it is making me hungry. I'm gunna go grab a burrito right now.

A very large burrito is 6-7 dollars with no guacomole. They also offer wheat burrito wraps. A good lunch spot when you think you might skip dinner! They also have fresh chopped cilantro which plays counterpart and lightens up the bean and meat flavors. Try the 'Chipotle' hot sauce, it is made from smoked peppers, which makes it very saboroso.
